The RGV Maison et Jardin show takes place this weekend
MCALLEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Rio Grande Valley Home and Garden Show kicked off Friday with businesses from across RGV. Many attendees of the 3-day event share its benefits to the community.
“We have the benefit of fundraising and at the same time we’re here to answer questions from the community, we run workshops here on proper tree pruning, grafting, so it’s really a beneficial relationship for us,” said Ashley Gregory of Texas. A&M AgriLife Extension Office and Master Gardener.
Gregory said they hold workshops to educate the community on good gardening. Other experts from the home and garden industry were present to present their company.
A business owner tells us that he seeks to help owners when it comes to dealing with their allergies.
“If you can’t breathe and you’re tossing and turning all night, it’s not happening, you can’t do it. That’s why you wake up in the morning, you’re just tired. It’s when you go to bed, so when you clean the air and remove particles that aggravate and exacerbate your allergies. It gives you room to breathe and if you breathe better, you sleep better,” said Wayne Harvey, Triad AER Specialist.
There are a number of stalls showcasing building materials, home improvement services, landscape, interior design, furnishings and more.
“It goes 340 degrees Fahrenheit, which is hot enough to kill all the viruses and bacteria and stuff like that, so it cleans the floor, it cleans, it has an aromatherapy kit that’s really good for inhaling when you get sick and stuff like that,” said Karan Oberoi, CEO of EV Atlantis Steamers.
If you want to attend the 3-day Home and Garden Show, it will be open this weekend at the McAllen Convention Center.
