Take a look at the festive interiors of Vogue Williams’ Howth House
So many of us are decorating our homes a little earlier than usual this year, but imagine if we could get a professional to do the work for us?
After looking at the fabulously festive interiors that Vogue Williams showed on Instagram, we decided to try and gift you the next best thing – so we reached out to the lady behind the luxe look.
All in a sort of Christmas quest, to see if we could steal the style of our own winter palaces.
You see, just a day after Vogue gives us a glimpse into the lavish and sparkling interiors of her Howth home on Instagram, the photos of that sleek tree and all the trim, coordinated Arlene McIntyre of Ventura Design, notched 36.8k likes.
Vogue, a mother of two, who is expecting her third child with husband Spencer Matthews, was unable to return to Ireland last Christmas due to restrictions linked to the pandemic.
And this week the TV presenter, DJ and model posted on her Instagram account www.instagram.com/voguewilliams/: but I couldn’t do it this year, I have everyone at our house.
She added, “This is what @venturainteriordesign did at home at home. I’m in love !!!
“I think I’ll leave all the decorations in place forever!” ”
Vogue and Spencer own two houses where they live with their son and daughter, Théodore and Gigi Margaux.
In addition to their family home in London, they bought their property in Howth in November 2019 and they brought in Arlene to renovate the Dublin residence.
Arlene, who featured the final episode of her first six-part TV series on RTÉ last week,, told us, “It’s hard to believe it’s only been a year since we completed the 360-degree renovation of Vogue and Spencer’s Howth House, time has flown.
“I am delighted that they can spend their first Christmas here this year.”
So be careful. There are elements of this theme that we can all incorporate into our Christmas decor – whether we live in a one-bedroom city apartment, a treehouse, or a sprawling beachfront cottage – or whatever. or between the two.
“The house is in such a beautiful setting that in this Christmas design project we really wanted to connect with nature outside. It’s actually a big design theme for 2022, bringing the outdoors in, ”said Arlene.
“We added a range of different green tones to the tree, as well as pops of color in lime green balls, mixing them with tons of white, gold, champagne and of course sparkle. I love the clear glass balls, they really accentuate the glow of the tree lights.
As for those wonderful garlands on the stairs and above the fireplace?
“Stair garlands are great for adding festive glamor to any staircase, as well as glowing warm lights,” said Arlene.
“We also added a very spectacular garland to their living room fireplace, again reflecting the design of the Christmas tree.”
The magic of winter, of course, needs candle light.
“For me, Christmas is all about the candles, so I added pillar candles to the wreath as the centerpiece of their festive meal,” said Arlene.
“Our Christmas styling services will reopen next year for reservations.”
