Men’s golf has five named to the All-MAC Academic Team

Seniors Ty Celone (Long Sault, Ontario, Canada-St Joseph’s Catholic) and cougar collins (Caledon, Ontario, Canada – Mayfield Secondary) won the honor for the third time, while senior Zack Mason (Toronto, Ontario, Canada-Blyth Academy Lawrence Park) and second Max Watson (Ashland, Ohio-Ashland) picked up their second academic honor from the conference. Second year MJ Smith (Rockford, Ill.-Winnebago) also won the honor for the first time.
Eastern Michigan, Miami and Toledo led the way with five winners each. Ohio followed with a total of four selections to the team.
The All-MAC Academic Honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in both athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a GPA of 3.20 and have participated in at least 50% of the competitions for that particular sport.
