Credit Union of America offers scholarships to FHSU students – Pratt Tribune

Credit Union of America (CUA) recently announced 11 scholarships totaling $22,000. Scholarship applicants must be 24 years of age or younger, be a high school or undergraduate student, have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, be a current AUC member in good standing, and write a 500-word essay on financial literacy and one of the seven cooperative credit union principles. Applications are blind reviewed by a team of volunteers made up of AUC employees from across the state.
“CUA was founded by a small group of teachers in 1935. We are pleased to carry on our legacy through scholarship programs that further the education of our members,” said Glenda Burkett, Director of Communications and CUA corporate donations. “Students and parents are thrilled with the financial assistance and it’s exciting to see the level of future professionals who will serve our Kansas communities.”

Applications for John Michener Student Scholarships are accepted from eligible CUA members from November 1 through mid-March each year on CUofAmerica.com.
