Angry Total War fans bomb Three Kingdoms
Creative Assembly has announced the end of support for Total War: Three Kingdoms starting with patch 1.7.1. The response from Total War fans has not been great. They claim the bugs in the DLC have not been fixed and are frustrated with a map update that “would focus on building the north of the map” as promised by Creative Assembly in a July 2020 blog post. never happened. In response, they started bombing Three Kingdoms on Steam. Its overall rating of Mostly Positive has fallen to Mostly Negative in recent reviews, and every Three Kingdoms DLC now has extremely negative recent reviews.
They didn’t stop there, with the DLC for Total War: Warhammer 2 still backed up, at least until its fans rally on Reddit and start leaving positive reviews in droves to push the ratings up.
In a development update video, the staff at Creative Assembly explained that they are entering pre-production for a new game in the same Romance of the Three Kingdoms setting. This video currently has 6200 Dislikes on YouTube.
Towards the end of the video, UI / UX designer Grant Mullock says, “Our community team will continue to share your feedback with us from our forums with the dev team as we plan the next exciting episode of Total War: Three. Kingdoms. ” I think it will be an interesting meeting.
